Mike Brown Jr. | Baritone
Michael Brown Jr. was born in Augusta, Georgia, in 1971. He was saved at the age of 16 at Victory Baptist Church, where he became involved in the ministry and began developing his love for gospel music. During his final years of school, he attended Victory Christian Academy and later continued his studies at Victory Baptist College.
It was during this time that Michael began a solo singing ministry, sharing the message of the gospel through song in nursing homes, jails, public schools, and churches. His heart for ministry and music eventually led him to form the Garden City Quartet.
For more than 20 years, Michael has sung with various talented men who have been a part of the quartet along the way. Through the years, God has blessed the ministry, allowing it to grow and continue reaching people through Southern Gospel music.
Michael is grateful to be part of a ministry that continues to share the gospel and touch lives through music.
Mike Brown Sr. | Lead
Raised in the Augusta, Georgia area after moving from the mountains of North Carolina as a child, he has spent a lifetime in ministry and service. Alongside his brother, Dr. Larry Brown, he co-founded Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, South Carolina, where he faithfully served for nearly fifty years.
Following the passing of his brother, who went home to be with the Lord, he stepped into a lifelong dream of singing in a quartet. Today, he is honored to be a member of Garden City Quartet, continuing to share the message of Christ through music.
He remains active in ministry under the leadership of Pastor C.T. Townsend

Steve Wright Jr. | Tenor
Steven Wright Jr., of Rome, Georgia, is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather with a deep passion for music and ministry. He has been married to his wife, Elizabeth, since April 2010, and credits her unwavering support as a constant encouragement in his life. He is the proud father of his daughter, Aliyah, and became a grandfather in May 2025—something he counts as one of his greatest blessings.
Raised in a family rooted in bluegrass music, Steven began learning to play the banjo at just seven years old under the guidance of his grandfather. After his grandfather’s passing in 2021, Steven intended to carry on that musical legacy. However, he felt the Lord calling him in a different direction—to step out in faith and pursue the work of ministry through Southern Gospel music.
Steven has always loved singing, especially alongside his mother, but as God began to lead his heart, he made the decision to follow that calling more fully. In 2024, he helped form the Sanctified Heirs Quartet, gaining valuable experience in ministry through music. When that season came to a close in 2025, Steven spent time in prayer, seeking where God would lead him next.
Through that prayer, the Lord opened the door for him to connect with Mike Brown Jr. and Garden City Quartet. After a time of rehearsal and audition, Steven was invited to join the group as their full-time tenor singer.
Today, Steven is grateful to be living out the calling God placed on his life—using his voice to share the Gospel, encourage believers, and help reach souls for Jesus Christ.
Chris Brown | Bass
Chris Brown was born in 1972 to Dr. R. Larry Brown and Diane Brown, founders of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta, South Carolina. He accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 15 and later answered the call to preach in 1999 during an old-fashioned tent revival.
Chris has a deep passion for serving the Lord and sharing the message of the cross. Through both preaching and music, his desire is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and remind others of the unchanging truth that Jesus saves.
